Reading Comprehension

Service Description

The virtual reading comprehension session teaches appropriate grade level strategies to improve reading fluency, to expand grade level vocabulary, and to enhance competency through exposure to various reading genres for students in grades 3-10. The session includes interactive, guided assignments aligned with the student's learning ability and is student-paced. The tutoring session shall teach students to use context clues to identify word meaning, to place sentences in sequence order, make predictions about a passage, draw inference(s) from a text, identify supporting details, to read and understand informational passages, to analyze short stories, and "more". The tutoring lessons are correlated with the student's school standards and is in compliance with the State of Texas mandated curriculum standards.
