Service Description

The English tutoring session shall teach the appropriate grade level language art skills for students in grades 3-10. The session includes interactive, guided instructions aligned with the student's learning ability and is student-paced. The virtual lessons are correlated with the student's school standards and is in compliance with the State of Texas mandated curriculum standards. The tutoring focuses on teaching the student competency in the rules of grammar; identifying main idea of a passage; identifying active and passive voice; identifying appositives; use of restrictive and nonrestrictive clauses; identifying the meaning of idioms and adages; use of synonyms, antonyms and homophones; drawing inferences from texts; identifying various types of clauses, the use of context to identify word meaning; and "more". The tutoring session shall enhance the student's confidence in writing grammatically correct sentences, paragraphs, and essays.
